“Coming To America 2” set for release in December, Davido is part of the cast!

A release date has been scheduled for American comedy movie, “Coming to America 2.”

The comic film would be released on Thursday, 17 December 2020, after it suffered a major set back and failed to meet up the initial release date on August 7, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Coming To America 2” is a sequel to the original comic movie which was released in 1988 and directed by Craig Brewer.

The sequel is also a continuation of the original story of Akeem, an African prince who blew off his arranged marriage to seek true love in Queens.

However, it seems like the original screenplay was rewritten by Kenya Barris
Kenya Barris, the creator of Black-ish.

It was also rumoured that the sequel was about Akeem, being a king who must take his son to America to sow his wild oats, but now it appears the plot will instead be about a long lost heir.

According to Deadline, the whole story now about “a long lost son, and [Akeem] must return to America to meet his unlikely heir to the throne of Zamunda.”

Although newcasts were included in this sequel, alot of old casts and would also be directed by the previous director, Craig Brewer.

Africa would also be really proud as one of it’s own will be representing.

Nigerian Afropop sensation, Davido would is also featured on the comedy movie, as he does his best to put Africa on the map through his talent and hardwork.

The artist also confirmed this report through his recent tweet on his twitter page on Monday, 14 September, 2020.

Davido will also star alongside top American casts like; Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Shari Headley, John Amos, Tracy Morgan, Wesley Snipes, and James Earl Jones, 2019, Nomzamo Mbatha, Jermaine Fowler, Tracy Morgan, KiKi Layne, Luenell, Morgan Freeman,
including American rapper, Rick Ross and lots more

“Coming to America 2” will be released in theatres by Paramount Pictures in the United States and Canada.
