Love&Lamba: Heartbreaks (Why it ends in tears)

Heartbreaks are mostly inevitable, no matter how cautious you may seem to be, it must happen to you. Most times it’s not your fault, your partner decides to be unfortunate.

You wake up one morning, no prior arguments or misunderstanding, then out of the blue, they hit you with their national anthem “It’s not you, it’s me”, just because they don’t actually have a reason to break up with you. Lmao! Clowns.

Heartbreaks are the reasons why a reasonable amount of people are depressed, the pain you feel when it happens cannot be explained, but trust me it’s excruciating and it knows no bounds.

Heartbreak can make you wail like you just lost a family member, it can even go as far as putting you in a psychiatric home momentarily.

Most times people don’t have tangible reasons for breaking up with their partners, it’s either a game to them or they mostly don’t understand the concept of being in love.

Many people cant decipher what they’re feeling, if it’s lust or love, they build their relationships on the basis of lust, you think you’re in love but in the real sense, you’re just sexually attracted to the person, or you just like the way the person is built.

When you also start a relationship without understanding your partners, knowing if you’re compatible or if you share the same values, no matter how you stall it, heartbreaks are almost inevitable.

Another remote cause of heartbreak has to be infidelity. The percentage of people who are willing to commit to a relationship and stay loyal to their partner is reducing drastically. Mainly because of peer pressure or the fact that they’re just shitty people.

Men usually go under the guise of being “natural cheats” but that is hogwash, A man cheats because he wants to, because he’s an insatiable human and because he has no respect for his partner.

Women also hide under the umbrella of “I’m keeping my options open”. Why do you need a backup when you trust that the main one wouldn’t fail?. Most times women cheat because of money or because they feel they’re not loved enough.

Women always seem to be on the receiving ends of heartbreak but that is a lie. It is safe to say women break more hearts than men do. They’re smooth operators, they’ll break your heart and still make you feel guilty for allowing them to break your heart.

If you have to cheat on your partner under any circumstances you shouldn’t have a partner in the first instance.

The adverse effects of your actions are what lead to the numerous painful heartbreaks people experience.

ICYMI- Dealing With Breakups: 8 ways to handle post-split stress

Few people shared their story on how they got their heartbroken and these stories will live your jaw dropped;

After reading all these stories this is my advice to you all;

People think it’s all fairytale when they decide to start a relationship, but it’s more like nursing a baby, on days where you don’t feel like continuing, you take a chill pill, and resume feeling recharged and that’s the beauty of it all.

It’s okay to take breaks. Reevaluate yourself and your partner and check if you’re actually working out because relationships sometimes can be overwhelming.

It’s not always going to be fun, you’ll have to make compromises and be willing to make it work.

if you cant cope with their characters or you guys just don’t fit, try to settle things amicably and let them know in the early stages, don’t lead them on, or make them fall in love with you first before you decide to break their heart.

Don’t be a Yoruba demon, please!.

I was in a relationship with a girl, all of a sudden she started seeking advice from me about my friend, that she really likes him but she was scared to date him because she feels he is bad… This is no joke. My saving grace was I didn’t like her, we were dating bcos someone used my facebook account to toast her. Or should I tell you of another? the one that broke up with me.. She said she wanted to follow Christ.. Omo! I cried n bestowed curses on her in d bathroom.. She became pregnant years after,… Read more »

Lol, my first heartbreak wasn’t really that good, I was just dying within myself , stayed indoors for days without friends and family, one morning I just woke up and said “oga man up and free yourself” that was how it started working for me, I was happy I didn’t call her to start begging because I remembered most of the times I’ll bring out her number to call and then I’ll convince myself not to, I struggled so much with it and I won, for me I don’t think I’ll ever go through anything like that again, it was… Read more »
