Manchester City star, Riyad Mahrez has helped Algeria secure a spot at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

His stunning strike ensured Algeria a qualification after a 2-2 scored draw with Zimbabwe in Harare.

Andy Delort had put the defending champions upfront in the 34 minutes after he beat Talbert Shumba with a shocking ball.

However, Mahrez scored Algeria’s second goal after he was set up by the Montpellier striker as former Leicester City star superbly doubled the bet with a cross-shot with the right foot.

But in their enclosure, the Warriors have made it a point of honor to return with Knowledge Musona and Prince Dube ensure both sides share a point.

Algeria has now joined Cameroon and Senegal in qualifying for next year’s tournament after gaining 10 points ahead of Zimbabwe with five.

Riyad Mahrez has endured a tough start to the 2020/21 campaign with Manchester City, but everyone knows that he is still one of the world’s very best.
